4. Ignition temperature. The sorbent shall have a self-ignition temperature greater than 150 degrees Centigrade (oC) when tested in accordance with ASTM D 1929.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this CID, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, quality assurance practices, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-50 to the maximum extent practical.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling and marking. The packaging, packing, and marking shall be in accordance with ASTM D 3951.
CID based part identification number. The following part identification numbering procedure is for Government purposes and does not constitute a requirement for the contractor. Part numbers shall be determined as follows:

Notes.
ASTM standards are available from the ASTM, 1916 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
Retrieval of the saturated sorbent should be done in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
