3.11 Identification. Two adjacent edges of each tile shall be marked with one coat of paint or lacquer to
identify the class of the tile. The marking shall be at least ¼ inch wide. The paint shall not become sticky due to
migration of plasticizers from within the tiles (acrylic-type paints have been found satisfactory for this purpose).
The identifying colors shall be as follows:
Class 1

Class 2

Class 2.5

Yellow
Class 3
